Joshua's 2 Year Old Stats

We went to see Dr. Bloom for Joshua's 2 year well child visit the week after his birthday. I still need to do a long overdue post about all that he is doing right now, but he's doing so much that it's hard to keep up with. He is a smart, sweet, and healthy big boy. Here is how he measured up at his appointment:

Weight: 29 lb (65th percentile)
Height: 36 in (80th percentile)
Head Circumference: 19.5 in (75th percentile)

I asked Dr. B about the old saying that if you double your height at 2 years old you can figure out what your adult height will be. She said that's pretty much true! Derek still doesn't quite believe it because Joshua's mother isn't even 5 feet tall...ha! Looks like I may not have cursed my son after all, but I guess we won't find out for sure for another 18 years or so. Let's hope baby brother will be the same way.

Dan Nicholas Park with Grandma

The morning of Aaron and Christy's wedding Grandma took Joshua and I to Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury while the boys set things up for the reception. That is the neatest park. It has....

several playgrounds,

a train,

a carousel,

lots of animals,

ducks to feed,

paddle boats,

and a spray park.

We had a GREAT time! And were exhausted when we left.

Aaron and Christy's Wedding

Aaron Carter, or "Carter" as he's known to our friends, got married to Christy in a beautiful ceremony. Derek had the pleasure of serving as a groomsman. We enjoyed a weekend of wedding festivities in Albemarle. It was nice having babysitters so close by. Aaron grew up not far from where Derek grew up. They didn't meet until college and were roommates for a few years before Derek graduated. They were two of the original Barbershop boys. Congratulations Aaron and Christy Carter!

Barbershop Boys (minus Carter)

Such a cute idea! Christy did this herself!

Johanna and Her Belly Came to Visit

Johanna flew through town on her way to her parents house after their beach vacation in NC. It was neat to have some quality time with her and her belly, even if it was for just a teeny tiny amount of time. We never imagined in college that we would be pregnant at the same time. Sweet memories!
